Our Philosophy
Project ALMA believes in the intrinsic curiosity of each child. Through classes that involve music, arts, literature and games, we create activities that act as small stimuli to children's cognitive development. Our teaching practice encourages creative self-expression and enables the development of essential life skills, such as prenunciation of writing, expression of emotions, language, creativity, collaboration, and attention.
Mission
Projeto ALMA is a child-centered Portuguese learning program. We are committed to respecting the unique personality, talents and development of each child. We have a culture that promotes kindness, curiosity and cooperation. Our goal is for the children to learn, explore, and have fun while making friends and cultivating our Brazilian culture and Portuguese as a heritage language.

Who We Are
Daniele Andrade O'Grady
Founder I encourage my students to be interactive, assertive, inquisitive, helpful and thoughtful. I believe it is important to nurture a young child's love of learning by expanding on his or her own inquisitive nature. As an educator, I know that teaching means much more than lessons and standards. Therefore, I prepare classes that are fun and engaging. I also focus on preparing students' mindsets on their resilience in the face of academic and social challenges. I am committed in creating a learning environment that allows children to develop their own ideas, express their feelings, take risks, make choices, and most of all, grow to be strong, thoughtful individuals.
